Verrrry good breakfasts! This is our Go-To any time we are on vacation in Ocean City, New Jersey. The food is fresh, made to order and the service is phenomenal. They also have lunch specials however I have never availed myself of that particular meal. There breakfast, however, knocks it out of the park. I highly recommend getting there early because the place can fill up from all the local and out-of-town clientele who call Sunrise Cafe their 2nd home for breakfast.

A nice spot for some dinner, lunch or breakfast anytime. Service was very good everyone enjoyed their meal.

We were looking for a breakfast sandwich shop and found this cafe! Couldn't ask for a better sandwich, you definitely need to check it out!

Cute breakfast place! The food was super affordable, especially for the area (2 eggs, potatoes and toast for ~$5). The banana bread French toast was amazing! Staff was friendly and we only waited 10 minutes for a table, even on a rainy day on a holiday weekend.

Great food... great energy!

Employees are treated terribly to the point that they didn’t have enough staff to open on July 4th weekend! They are a shady business that does not pay employees for time worked or overtime. Drip n scoops donuts are awful. Food here is terrible at sunrise. Dockside and Deadend are good but they stole all of their recipes from other establishments. Literally got caught in fractured prune stealing ideas for their donuts. Con artists. Do not work here or support these businesses. You have gotten away with it for this long. Lawsuits are coming your way.

Found this ocean city treasure a couple years ago on our last day of our vacation and loved it. Just went back this morning and was quite pleased again. I love the artsy and creative dishes offered. Atmosphere is very cafe like with fresh sunflowers in vases on each table. Bright and welcoming. I had the pulled pork and egg with avocado burrito and was just as tasty and juicy as I anticipated. Service was good. Waitress came by a few times checking up on us (this is what I expect in a sever!). My other friends really enjoyed their breakfast meals as well! Thank you we will be back!

Cheerful yellow restaurant with cute ceramic mugs with the sunrise cafe emblem on them. Breakfast was great, nice thick wheat toast, delicious fried red bliss potatoes with onions, eggs cooked just right!

Great breakfast spot. Donut french toast is as good as it sounds and surprisingly not overly sweet. Empanadas were fantastic. Sit outside if it's nice out but beware the flys.

Great breakfast! We will definitely be coming back again and again! We would go out of our way from the boards to come here too!!

The food is great! Nice proportions and the prices were fair. Very relaxed atmosphere, plenty of dishes to choose from and it seems to be the favorite.

I know people love UBPH, but this is my favorite breakfast place in OCNJ. They have a nice small menu but with really good food. They have healthy alternatives and classic heart attacks on a plate. They added a covered outdoor area which makes seating even better, especially in the hot sun or the rain. They sometimes have a fly issue they need to find a way to consistently address.

Great breakfast place! We sat on the patio outside which was very nice. We had MJ as our server and she was amazing! Very friendly and attentive, she came over many times to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was excellent!

This place is such a bad place to work, they can't even find enough workers to open for the summer. Dirtiest kitchen I've ever seen, take your business elsewhere.

Stopped here early one Saturday morning in September. They have a nice outdoor seating area which is covered so you are out of the hot sun and weather. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was okay as well. A nice large portion and it was not over priced. Pictured is a bacon and cheese omelet. I would have liked to have given this eatery four stars but in truth there was nothing about my experience that made me want to go back again. It was just okay.

It was good service. I got the breakfast burger a little greasy, but good. Burger with 2 slices of pork roll, fried egg and cheese on a soft roll. Very filling. Oh and a side of home fries came with it.

One of my favorite breakfast spots in OC! They have covered outdoor seating which is great. The food has been amazing every single time. French toast, eggs, omelettes, and fantastic breakfast sandwiches. Yum!

A very nice breakfast, fast kitchen, and an excellent staff !

2 stars because the wait staff was very friendly and the french toast was very tasty. However, $6 for one kids pancake that was 5" . Literally $6 for one mini pancake - no drink or potatoes just one lousy pancake! Also, my omelet was brown on both sides. Eggs shouldn't be brown. Everyone knows the shore is a rip off for food but this place was just ridiculous.

Cream chip beef was excellent

This is a must when in Ocean City. The Nutella French toast are excellent and they give large portions of food. You will never leave hungry. We enjoyed eating here every time we visit the coast. The wait times in the summer are also pretty reasonable considering the amount of traffic in and out of this great vacation spot.

Not bad. Food could have been cooked a tad longer. Very busy Sunday morning vacation spot. Pricey but in line with vacation prices.

Enjoyed my burger but my wife's veggie wrap was lacking flavor; some seasoning would have made it much more appealing.

The food was awesome and the meal was very filling. The wait staff was very nice and got us everything we asked for and quickly. The Santa breakfast was also very fun for the kids and my youngest was so excited. My only complaint is that I got the sunriser meal which is pictured here that comes with 3 sausage 3, bacon 3 pancakes and 3 eggs as well as hash browns and toast. However the amount of eggs was only about 1, maybe 2 small eggs. I didn't say anything because it was already a lot of food and I didn't finish everything but if I'm paying for 3 eggs it should look like 3 eggs.That being said the bacon, sausage and especially the french toast was super good and I'd honestly go back tomorrow if I lived closer.Make the 3 eggs actually 3 eggs and you get 5 stars for sure.

Great little place that's easy to miss. But you'll be glad you found it! I stopped here for breakfast and sat outside. My order was the meat lovers sandwich on an everything bagel. Lots of meat, all perfectly cooked and stacked. Perfect portion size for me.

I'm a huge fan of this place and have been eating breakfast here for a few years when I get a chance. During this bizarre time of lockdowns and masks we happened to walk by and see NO LINE. This is unheard of. So we pounced on the opportunity to be immediately seated and served within 10 minutes of sitting.Don't assume the Sunrise Cafe is going to have a monumental wait. Go and check. We sat right down and it was fantastic.

I am sorry to say we had a terrible experience here today. My husband ordered the chip beef with homefries well done. He couldn't eat it because the gravy tasted like flour besides that home fries were not well done and were cubed roasted potatoes not home fries.I ordered an omelet with peppers, onions and mushrooms and the peppers were not fully cooked. I passed on the potatoes and toast a d asked what I could substitute. They said fruit for an upcharge of $2. I was served a very tiny bowl of fruit.I was halfway through my meal and had to ask another waitress to get our waitress. Finally she came by but couldn't stop because she was delivering another tray of food. The first waitress came by and saw that the plate full of food was still there and asked if he wanted anything else. At this point I was done my eggs and he declined. There was a quick sorry and she took the plate. Our original waitress brought the bill and nothing was said about the meal.We definitely won't go back.

Terrible. Terrible. Terrible!!!! Waited 45 minutes before walking out. The waitress never came to take our order, seagulls were eating the food from the neighboring table. Never been more disappointed in a place. Give you Business to someone else

Amazing breakfast on an island that much isn't open during the off season. Phenomenal wait staff, very friendly and answered any questions I had honestly and helped me get food that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Awesome breakfast joint. Big portions and everything was well made and fresh. Will definitely be back for more. Crowded all year round so be prepared for a possible wait. Outdoor seating in nice weather.

Excellent spot for breakfast in Ocean City. Go early, as it gets crowded later. Great food, great coffee and really friendly service. Definitely a must-do in OC.

Appropriately named Sunrise. Serves up yummy breakfast with a smile. My sunrise special was enormous. Eggs were done perfectly. Crispy bacon, albeit too salty for my taste. Sausage was good. Potatoes were nicely done. Service was super fast and friendly. pancake .... Or rather two pancakes were HUGE!

Great service. Plentiful amount of food! Large great omelets! Will be back!

Always enjoy the friendly atmosphere and the quality food. Better than your average cafe in Ocean City.

Over priced! Food was ok. Didn't like the pancakes. Veggie omelette was good.

Really good food. It's small inside, but they have a nice covered patio out front. I've been several times, and everything I've tried has been great. The past two times I've been there, I ordered off the specials menu. Both entrees were delicious (Lemon Poppyseed Pancakes and Meat Lovers Omelette - names might not be exact). Hopefully they both make it to the regular menu because I would order both of them again in a second.

Suitable place for a quick lunch or dinner. Everything is tasty and satisfying.

Food is always amazing. We don't have to wait long for food. There is convenient and cheap parking across the street. They gave us a magnet with our check!
